Shipping
Every garment is hand-folded in washi paper and shipped from our NYC studio within 2 business days. Domestic delivery arrives in 2–5 days; international in 5–10. Shipping is free worldwide on orders over $400 — under that, a flat $18 applies. Each parcel is trackable and insured for its full value.
Returns
You have 14 days with the garment. If it is not right, send it back in the condition it arrived — unworn outside, tags attached — for a full refund. Because every piece is one of one, we ask that you decide with care; a returned haori goes back into the archive for someone else.
Restoration & lifetime care
Every Eastern Vintage garment includes our lifetime care service. Send it back any time for cleaning, re-stitching, fresh lining or cord work — the same hands that restored it will receive it. The first year of service is on us; after that, modest service fees cover materials and return shipping.
Repairs are honest. We stabilize and renew, but we do not erase — a visible mend is part of the garment's account of itself.
Sizing
Vintage kimono were cut for a different century, so we size every piece individually and list the fit range on its page. As a general guide for haori:
Unsure between two? A haori is meant to drape — when in doubt, take the roomier read, or write to us with your measurements.
Trade
We work with stylists, costume departments, interior designers and retail partners on loans, rentals and wholesale selections from the archive. Write to the atelier with your project and timeline and we will assemble a selection to view.
Custom & sourcing
Looking for something particular — a crane motif, a specific era, a wedding uchikake? Our Kyoto sourcing runs year-round. Tell us what you are looking for and we will keep an eye open; when a candidate surfaces, you will be the first to see it. No obligation, no deposit.
